A couple posts back you saw a picture of a disappointed rider; Ryon. He was having trouble with his bike and it would quit on him unexpectedly. So last Thurs, I took my trailer down to Chattanooga, we loaded up the bike, and I brought it back to Ckv to take to our local Kaw dealer. I took it this morning and they called before noon with it ready. Nice thing about taking you bike in during the winter, most folks have put theirs away for a few months and there are no lines at the shop. So, anyway, I picked it up and decided to ride it the rest of the day to be sure no more breakdowns. My bike is what is called a sport-touring bike, Ryon's is a cruiser. They have much different riding positions and much different feel. So it took me a while to get the feel of his bike, but I rode it all around Ckv and area trying to stay close enough I could get help, just in case. Well, I have to admit, I felt a little bit like a Harley guy on this bike; popping mufflers, hands up high, leaning back slightly. I saw an old friend at the gas pump. He said he thought I was just another "hippy" until I spoke to him. Guess I damaged my reputation some!! But it was kinda fun to ride a different ride. But I can't take that cruiser position for very long. Tonight my back is hurting and arms a little tired. All from just a couple hours of riding. I can ride my bmw for hours on end and not get tired. Well, that's what they make them for; old guys who like to ride for hours. Should have taken a pic with me on the Kaw, but don't want to risk my reputation any more. (Just kidding, Ryon!)
