Blue Ridge Parkway

Left Asheville this morning on the BRP as far as Boone. Except for a bit of construction and some fog, it was a great ride; nice and cool and little traffic. From Boone we went over to Mountain City TN and continued on 421 (The Snake) to Bristol. The Snake was all that I had heard it to be, but stopping in Shady Valley at the 421 General Store was a little dissappointing. Regardless, it was a great day riding.

Headed to NC

On Monday, Heath and I left Cookeville to meet up with Ryon in Asheville. Taking Hiway 70 to Lenoir City, then 321 to Maryville, 411 to Newport, and 70 again to Asheville. Very nice ride, especially after Maryville and over the mountains from Newport to Asheville, via Hot Springs, NC. Found a really neat place to eat in Maryville, pictured here.
