Nice and cool for an afternoon ride today. US70 east to Cherry Creek Rd down to TN 84 into Sparta. Then taking the old McMinnville Highway to Quebec; TN 136 north to intersect with TN 135 up by Burgess Falls, and back into Cookeville. Hardly any traffic, great scenery, and cool temps, 51F. What a great Sunday afternoon. Then SuperBowl party with life group; lots of good food; lots of good friends; and a good game.

I bought my first motorcycle when I was 15 years old. That was 49 years ago. Although I have not had a motorcycle all of those 49 years, it has never been far from my mind. My addiction to motorcycling can only be understood by those who share the same passion. To others, it is just a frivolous, expensive hobby. I love the feeling of freedom that comes with riding; the closeness to nature that comes with riding in the open air; the feel and sound of a well designed and built machine going through its paces. I particularly enjoy riding with my two sons, Heath and Ryon, although we don't get a chance to get together as often as I would like. Since I am retired, I have a bit more time to ride than they do, so many of my trips are solo.
